Three months ago I started the 365 Project; a project where you take a photo every day for 365 days. I forgot that this year is a leap year so it’s actually 366 but that’s besides the point.
I’ve got through the first three months of the challenge (with only a few hiccoughs but I’m treating this as my warm-up quarter). I started this challenge to make sure that I don’t let my photography fall by the wayside. With a full-time job it’s easy to make excuses not to go out with my camera but that’s changing this year! I also set myself the extra challenge of only using my mobile phone, I’ve mostly stuck to that (with only a couple of photos having been taken on my camera), but I chose to do this as my phone is nearly always in my pocket and I hear so many people saying “I can’t take nice photos, I don’t have a camera”. I hope that the photos from this year will change your mind about how good your camera phone is.
I will write one of these blog posts every three months, where I will feature my favourite photos from those 90 days. If you would like to keep up with the challenge and see all the photos that I’m posting, then follow me on Instagram. I’d also love to hear what your thoughts are on the challenge, my progress so far and if there’s anything you’d like to see more of from me!
